Slag moisture control before it is fed into the mill
Moisture content of slag need to be controlled strictly before it is fed into the mill. Because in the process of pulverizing slag micro-powder, there will produce a lot of heat, and the heat makes water of slag raw materials overflow, then caused paste ball and knot. It is serious effect powder efficiency and power consumption. Therefore the moisture content of raw slag affect the quality of output powder sensitively. So in the superfine powder slag mill technology system, moisture content of the slag should be controlled below 1.5% before it is feed into mill, general be controlled in between 0.5% and 1%.
For a small powder grinding mill, the effect of moisture is particularly obvious. It directly affects the material flow within the mill, mill output and consumption. More over conveying, storage of pulverized slag powder will also have an adverse impact. Especially when the specific surface area greater than 420m2/kg, ground slag powder will occurs electrostatic adsorption more or less, with the addition of big moisture, will cause serious paste ball and ball-blocking, frequently full mill and boring bin, impacting production.
