Chapter 1
1. Application
Hammer crusher is mainly applied to grind low abrasion materials with medium hardness and compression strength not exceed 100Mpa, it is used widely in metallurgy, mining industry, chemistry industry, cement, construction material and ceramic industry etc.
2. Features
Hammer crusher has the advantages of high productive capacity, high crushing ratio, low power consumption, uniform products particle size, simple structure, compact and light, low investment cost, easy to management, etc. The defects are, when crushing very hard materials, it will cause greater wear of hammer and grate and consume more metal; it needs more maintenance time and uniform feeding of materials; when crushing soft-moist materials, the capacity will become significantly lower and even stop because of material jam. In order to avoid jam, the moisture content of materials should be less than 10%-15%.

4. Working Principle
Hammer crusher mainly consists of frame, rotor, trapezoidal iron plate, bar grate, etc. And the frame consists of the upper part and the lower part, which are made of welded cut armor plate, while other parts are connected into one by bolts. High manganese steel liners are mounted in the frame and can be replaced after wearing out.
There are several sets of hammers equipped on the main shaft of the hammer crusher in regular distribution. They constitute the rotor with dial and hammer shaft. Driven by the motor and V-belt, the main shaft rotate with rotors. And the rotors spread to the surrounding extensions under the centrifugal force brought from rotating. So when big materials fall into the crushing cavity of hammer crusher, they will be broken into pieces by high speed rotors. The qualified materials after crushing will be discharged from the gap of grate at the bottom, while those unqualified ones will still stay in the crushing part and then discharged when they reach the acceptable size after repeated actions of hammers and trapezoidal iron plates.
5. Installation
Since hammer crusher was installed and tested before exit factory, just make foundation treatment according to related documents, and then place the machine (Related foundation treatment sketch enclosed with the product.)
1.1 Installation Attentions
A. Arrange product discharger carefully.
B. Put hard wooden or other antivibration materials between hammer crusher and cement foundation to alleviate vibration.
C. Motor and hammer crusher usually are installed on motor holder, and connect by bolts.
6. Maintenance
1.1 Preparation
A. Check main bearing, check oil status of other gears, and fill oil if needed.
B. Check if jointing bolts loose or broken.
C. Check if there are impurities in grind chamber and gears.
D. Check if gear-shifting mechanism and motor run normally, and belts no broken and peeling.
E. Run the machine after above inspection procedure.
1.2 Inspection and check during working
A. If the machine stopped suddenly during working, do not start forcedly before the problem solved and the materials cleared up.
B. Check timely when the machine gave forth abnormally sound such as hammer clip the grate, rub etc. Check wearing status of hammer, plate and grate. Do not overhaul when the machine is in operation.
C. Regular Maintenance including equipment clear-up, fasten bolt check-up, well lubrication, mechanical parts adjustment etc.
7. Safety regulations
To ensure safety production and avoid of danger, operation regulation must be abided by the operators.
A. Operation regulation should be made for someone who is responsible for equipment operation. Operator must be qualified with machine technical feature, operational requirement and operating rules and regulations. New operator must receive technical training.
B. To ensure crusher can work normally for a long term, it is necessary to establish the equipment maintenance system and have examination and repair tools, accessories, spare parts and greases.
